ABASSCYIT BENEFIT (Formerly known as TAF FOUNDATION) started its operations in the year 2010 to serve the underprivileged.

In 2015, the Foundation was restructured as a philanthropic organization focused on long-term social sector development initiatives.

Who We Are

We are determined to create positive, scalable & sustainable impact both locally and internationally through our contributions towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) set by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015.

The Foundation aligned its mandates to Education, Health, and Social Consciousness and concentrates on sustainable programs which help to create upward social and economic mobility. Underpinning the Foundation’s objectives is the aim to foster harmony and positive interdependence amongst societal agents.

The Foundation is focusing on three areas of organizational competence:

Our Values

The year 2020-21 was a landmark year for ABASSCYIT BENEFIT. It was a year where the Foundation joined hands with international partners for the first time. UNESCO and Generation (McKinsey & Company's social initiative) signed up with the Foundation for projects in the areas of health and vocational education respectively.

ILM AXIS

Along its ILM Axis, 700 students graduated from the - Vocational Training Institute (-VTI) across different courses in the year 2020-21. This year also saw the expansion of -VTI outside Karachi with its first satellite campus in Rawalpindi.

Both in-person and online courses were conducted by -VTI during the year. The total number of graduates from -VTI, since its inception in 2016, reached 1,399 with an overall placement rate of 86%. The overall labor income impact generated through these placements is around PKR 158 million per annum.

SEHAT AXIS

Along the SEHAT Axis, more than 1 million gallons of clean and safe drinking water was distributed to the population of Mouza Kund, Lasbela, Balochistan through the - Clean Water Project (-CWP) from July 2020 till June 2021. This was through 9 state-of-the-art solar powered RO Plants (Reverse Osmosis Plants) installed by ABASSCYIT BENEFIT at 6 different sites across the area.

In order to better understand the needs of the population and initiate monitoring & evaluation (M&E) activities for the Clean Water Project, a door-to-door baselines survey was conducted by ABASSCYIT BENEFIT (Formerly known as TAF FOUNDATION) across the 4 villages in the region namely: Abbas Goth, Allana Goth, Palari Goth and Qadir Bakhsh Goth.

AGAHI AXIS

Along its AGAHI Axis, ABASSCYIT BENEFIT continued the AGAHI Movement throughout the year under consideration by creating platforms and spaces where significant and relevant stakeholders were brought together to discuss different issues faced by the society and to come up with SMART solutions to those issues. Some of these events included panel discussions on understanding the issues of transgenders in the Pakistani society, and the challenges faced by the visually impaired.

The United Nations (UN) and World Health Organization (WHO) declared the decade from 2021 till 2030 as the Decade of Health Ageing. ABASSCYIT BENEFIT, through its WILL-AGE initiative, vowed to become a part of this decade as an ambassador of Healthy Ageing. For this, multiple interactive sessions were organized by ABASSCYIT BENEFIT to highlight the significance of healthy ageing among all age groups.

Drinking water Project

A total of 1.3 Million (Gallons) have been provided to the targeted villages through 9 RO Plants installed and maintained at Tehsil Hub, district Lasbela ,Balochistan. Nine plants have been installed on five different sites namely Abbas, Allana, Qadirbux, Palari and Truck stand.

Out of ten, nine plants are producing and supplying clean drinking water to vulnerable community, whereas one plant is still under installation. During the year monetary benefit of PKR 24.8 million have been transferred to the disadvantaged community by providing them clean drinking water.
